According to Windows Central, Microsoft is preparing to upgrade its Surface line with new AI-enabled features. The impending Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 will reportedly include a next-gen neural processing unit (NPU), with Intel and Arm-based alternatives, according to the outlet’s unidentified sources.
The CADMUS-codenamed Arm-based devices will use Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors to take advantage of Microsoft’s artificial intelligence capabilities in the next Windows release. People are hoping that these computers will have the same level of performance, battery life, and security improvements as Apple’s silicon. The most recent 14th-generation Intel processors are likely to be included in the Intel version of the gadgets.
In addition to internal improvements, rumors have it that the Surface Pro 10 will include a brighter display with HDR support, anti-glare coating, and two resolution options: 2160 x 1440 and 2880 x 1920. It could have rounded edges like the Surface Laptop Studio series and come with a redesigned Type Cover with a Windows Copilot button.
Per Windows Central, the smaller model of the Surface Laptop 6 will have a somewhat larger screen, measuring 13.8 inches (up from 13.5 inches in the Surface Laptop 5), while the larger 15-inch model will keep its size. A haptic touchpad, a specialized keyboard button for Windows Copilot, a rounder display with narrower bezels, and maybe additional ports (two USB-C, one USB-A, and one for Surface Connect charging) are all things that many anticipate seeing on the gadget.
Next year, Microsoft is expected to unveil the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6. Nevertheless, Windows Central suggests that in 2025, Microsoft will introduce a revamped Surface Laptop Studio and a more substantial redesign for the Surface Pro.
