Microsoft Invests $2.1 Billion to Expand AI Infrastructure in Spain

Brad Smith, the vice chair and president of the American software giant Microsoft, stated that the business will invest $2.1 billion over the next two years to build its artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud infrastructure in Spain. He announced it through a post on the social media site X.

The action follows the company’s announcement of an AI-focused investment of 3.2 billion euros ($3.45 billion) in Germany over the next two years.

Microsoft provided no information in response to a Reuters request for more details about the investment in Spain.

Smith states, “The 37-year commitment we have to Spain, its security, and the advancement and digital transformation of its people, businesses, and government is demonstrated by our investment, beyond simply constructing data centers.”
