Wix AI Chatbot Will Make You A Website In No Time

With Wix’s new AI website builder, you can now create a fully functional website, complete with images, using only prompts. While Wix does not charge for website creation, premium options are available for those wishing to remove limitations such as accepting money or having a domain name. While it may not perform miracles, Wix’s chatbot does make getting a website up and running a breeze.

The Light plan on Wix is $17/month and includes 2GB of storage, two collaborators, support, and basic marketing tools. The company’s Elite plan, on the other hand, supports up to fifteen collaborators, has extensive analytics and e-commerce capabilities, and costs $159/month.

Site creation begins with clicking the “Create with AI” button and answering the chatbot’s questions about the site’s purpose, intended audience, and desired name. It makes something for you in a matter of seconds. After creation, you can make more traditional edits, such as changing the theme or layouts. Additionally, there are fragments of AI that serve to trigger the generation of images and text. (“Out of the box models” like DALL-E and OpenAI’s ChatGPT for text production were mentioned by Wix when the website generator was introduced last year).

The Verge decided to create a fresh tech website called The Vorge with it. It follows the guidelines laid down by The Verge’s “About” page:

“Feelings evoked by technological advancements are the focus of The Verge. Established in 2011, our website, video, and podcasts provide our audience with a wide range of content, including breaking news, reviews, award-winning stories, and investigations.“

With the rise of mobile devices and the subsequent influx of a new generation of digital consumers, our initial editorial observation was that technology had moved from the periphery of culture to its very core. We have entered a screen-driven age that has brought about seismic shifts in the ways we consume media, travel, and conduct scientific research. A brighter future is on the horizon than in the past.

This is what they obtained:

A simplistic website promoting haircut services, with the words “THE VORGE” prominently displayed at the top, a “REAL TIME UPDATES” section featuring vague graphs with numbers and other similar elements.

However, it is not The Vorge they want. they were able to get the following response after describing the website they were seeking for futuristic technological news while editing the theme:

A space-themed design is what I’m going for when I build your website. Elements in black and purple give it an edgy vibe. Dotted and stemmed icons, in addition to strong and sans-serif fonts, are part of the motif. At your request, we will set the site’s backdrop to black. Positioned at the top, tilted on the side, reading from bottom to top, and somewhat covering the primary image, the logo will consist of a futuristic font. At the very top of the page, you’ll see the main story’s enormous headline and image, which barely overlap the bottom right two-thirds of the page. A subheading with the author’s name underneath it will also be included. This main story is flanked to the right by five more “Top Stories” that have thumbnails of their primary photographs, author names, and titles.

This is just a sample piece, but it was also a hair salon in addition to being a tech news site:

The “Our Services” box has links to schedule different hairstyles and cuts, as well as rates for each.

They made several adjustments to reach a level comparable to The Verge. Let us introduce you to the website that will change the face of online technology journalism (and local hair salons)

It isn’t the real Verge. For that, you would likely require some knowledge of real web programming as well as an exploration of Wix’s advanced editing features. But getting to a basic beginning point was a breeze using the simple AI generator; it created something that looked almost like a real site to begin with.
